The road bike fit is roughly a 2 to 3 hour long process that dives deep into each riders limitations on and off the bike. Once we determine these limits we can begin to fine tune your fit and make you a happier more efficient cyclist.
Whats included?
Off-Bike structural assessment/Flexibility assessment This is a 25-30 minute assessment of the riders limitations, These measurements are extremely helpful later on in the fitting process
*NOTE A pro level fitting can be completed without these measurements if you are uncomfortable with touching at the hips, back, legs, feet, arms*
On-Bike We start by locating certain landmarks on the rider and begin testing. You will be riding at different perceived rates of exertion to best emulate the type of riding you do outside or at home on the trainer. With our findings from the off the bike assessment we can now begin to make sure that you are working within your ranges of motion. If you are outside these ranges of motion or near the limit…you are asking your body to maintain a position it simply cannot. Tips on cycling technique will be offered throughout the fit and all questions are welcomed!
Post Fit While the goal of the fit is to provide you with your desired results, sometimes this is not the case. Sometimes when the body is used to a position it may take some time to adapt. I always recommend taking some time to adjust to your new position (2-3 Rides or more) If for some reason your fit does not help you meet your goals, Re-Fits are free for a month and $75/hr beyond a month should you need any adjustments!
